Schuster Braun enthusiastically approached last winter with an idea to augment the community of web developers in the area. He has since established the monthly gathering Augusta Developer to give web developers in Augusta a space to present their musings, make contacts, and share solutions. This endeavor has brought together n00bs and devs with decades of code behind them, as well as the managers who work with them.

The September meeting brought out some stellar presentations by members for an Open Mic night. Read Schuster’s write-up of the evening HERE.

And get ready for the next Augusta Developer on October 11th where challenges will be announced for Hacktoberfest, sponsored by Digital Ocean!

Located in a historic 1802 Schoolhouse, our space is divided into two wings. One for learning and prototyping, and one for coworking and business incubation. Our membership comes from a wide variety of backgrounds that all consider themselves some measure of hacker, maker, and doer. I am an architect. We have entrepreneurs, business people, teachers, engineers, designers, artists, and Jacks and Jill’s of all trades, and of course many software and hardware developers.
